Fund-raising campaign for Japan earthquake victims

The northeastern coast of Japan was rocked by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the resulting massive tsunami on 11 March 2011. While tens of thousands of lives and homes were shattered, many more victims were to face the nuclear crisis that might be posed by the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant. The survivors of the earthquake were in dire need of help in this particularly worrisome predicament.

Cosmos Group launched a fund-raising campaign on 22 March 2011 to appeal to its staff members to make donations for the Japanese victims and lend a helping hand. All funds raised would be handed over to Japan Earthquake 2011 Relief Campaign of the Hong Kong Red Cross to provide relief supplies, first aid, medical facilities, and psychological support services to the affected people.
