Supporting Earth Hour 2014 for a sustainable future – Give an hour for the Earth

Cosmos Machinery Enterprises Limited and its subsidiary companies fully supported the Earth Hour 2014 movement by signing up at WWF’s Earth Hour website. As a commitment to this event, Cosmos Group called on its staff members to turn off the non-essential lights for one hour at 8:30 p.m. on 29 March 2014 (Saturday), thereby saving energy and having a low-carbon lifestyle. This is the third year in a row that Cosmos Group signed up for the Earth Hour movement.

Earth Hour is the world’s largest collective environmental action suggesting individuals, communities, businesses, and governments across the world to reduce energy consumption by turning off their non-essential lights for one hour at 8:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of every March. The message of this lights-off event is that a small change in our lifestyle can let the societies around the world operate sustainably.

The slogan of “Give an hour for the Earth” launched by WWF in 2014 encourages people to give up their usual pattern of living, to reduce unnecessary wastage, and to consume resources wisely in order to reduce ecological footprint and to make a more sustainable future for the earth.
