Making mooncakes with heart

Hoping to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival together and to learn the way of making mooncakes, Cosmos volunteer team and the friends from Father Tapella Home of Fu Hong Society spent a Saturday afternoon on 19 September 2009.

The event was organized by the Association for the Rights of Industrial Accident Victims, which is a registered non-profit making charitable organization, and took place at Lam Tin Community Centre. Guided by the volunteer instructors from the centre, the participants teamed up and made lots of delicious mini-mooncakes with ingredients such as dough, lotus seed paste, and salted egg yolks. Other vital ingredients were the great deal of care and patience devoted to the event by everyone which made the activity a very successful one.

A good time was had by all.

The production was in full swing.

The DIY mooncakes are especially mouth-watering.
